Authentic, mid-20th century, galvanized metal anchor lantern that we've repurposed into functional nautical table lamp. Thick 360 degrees glass Fresnel lens intensifies the distance of the light similar to a lighthouse lens. Originally a kerosene burning lantern, this old seafaring marine fixture now makes a wonderful table lamp. The lamp metal body retains an old black painted surface with gold paint, directly above and below the Fresnel lens. The glass Fresnel lens is completely intact, but the backside of the lense has an interior fracture created from years of shipboard use! The lamp is hinged at the shoulder and open to access the interior light. An authentic retired nautical fixture with lots of maritime charm, re-purposed for today’s nautical home.
The table lamp comes with all new electrical parts and wiring. The lighting choices toggle between the interior light and the lamp light via the upper light switch. You can use either the upper room light, the interior lantern light or both as desired. Measures 25 inches tall to the top of the shade (as shown) and 6 inch diameter at base.
