Authentic Copper and Brass Ship's Cargo Light- Nautical Lamps & Lighting

This vintage copper and brass nautical hanging cargo light has been cleaned, rewired and ready to install. The fixture comes with a new UL-Listed electric bulb socket (as seen) that takes a normal screw in house bulb of 100 watts or less. The lamp cord wire is designed for plug-in use, but can easily be upgraded for hard-wiring to a standard electric box. Access to the interior is by removing the outer wing nuts on the frame. We chose to leave the authentic worn finish on the light interior, but could be painted a gloss white like many of these are fashioned for a cleaner presence. We also ran the wiring out of the original goose-neck tube but could be drilled on the top to allow wire passage straight up the chain. The original adjustable bracket we left intact, and was used for bulkhead mounting. The cargo light measures 17 inches in diameter and 24 inches tall to the top of the fixture and is suspended by a length of thick brass chain.

This old nautical fixture has numerous dings on the convexed lighting shell and is copper-plated over metal. As a result of this light being salvaged from a real maritime vessel, some of the metal in spots shows through. A wonderful authentic light with lot's of character that can be used today as a pendent light over a kitchen work station, a light over your breakfast table and in your man cave to light up an area or nautical collection!
