WALKER'S EXCELSIOR IV SHIP-LOG (OUTRIGGER PATTERN)

WALKER'S EXCELSIOR IV SHIP-LOG (OUTRIGGER PATTERN) Britain, Circa 1950. In storage box with instructions applied to the interior lid. Printed on the top of the instructions "WALKER'S "EXCELSIOR" IV PATENT LOG. FOR YACHTS, MOTOR LAUNCHES AND FISHING CRAFT." Along the bottom "THOMAS WALKER & SON, LTD., 58 OXFORD STREET, BIRMINGHAM, 5, ENG." The bronze outfit contains a ship's log with attachment bracket, outrigger, rotator and hook with braided log line, rotator, original oil can, all in a fitted machine-dovetailed pine and oak storage box. Log with White enamel dial of the log recorder signed above the center "Walker's Excelsior IV Log". Sling mount with safety lanyard reads from 0-100m, with sub dial for 1/10th nautical miles. Box measures:  height 5.5". Width 15". Depth 7.25".
