Exceptional quailty marine grade brass piling Light with conical Top and heavy, 360 degree glass Fresnel lens. Pedestal base with 6 inch diameter base and four mounting (screw holes). The light interior is reached by removing the four thumb srews on the stems and lifting off the top. Light wiring is reached throught the pedestal base. Single enamel light bulb fixture inside. Stands 16 inches tall and 11 inches in diameter including outer stems. Weighs 20 pounds!
High quality cast brass with thick glass Fresnel lens make this light a perfect choice to use outdoors for a deck and or dock, post light, driveway entryway light and/or garden landscaping light.
CONDITION: this is a vintage, reconditioned marine navigation light. The brass surface has been polished to a bright brass patina. The thick glass Fresnel lens has one small chip on the bottom edge, but is not visible. Some minor cast pitting on the brass top.
We recommend the use of LED light bulbs for all enclosed light fixtures like this one. The LED, or light-emitting diode,
is essentially a miniature light source incased in a plastic lens. LED lighting is ultra-compact and dramatically more efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs. And, because LED bulbs are based on solid-state lighting technology that emits light from a chip, they produce minimal heat and there is no filament to burn out, as with incandescent bulbs. Nor do they contain mercury and other toxic material.
