This is a ship's Fire & General Alarm Bell that was salvaged years ago from a once working vessel. The cast iron bell is embossed "L. BURG FDY FIRE CO. LTD., LUNENBURG, N.S." (Nova Scotia). Retains most of it's original red painted surface on the bell front. Reverse side is unpainted with a center bolt for attachment. The bolt now fits snugly into a wall mounting bracket for display. Measures 10 inches in diameter and 5 inch projection including mounting bracket.  

This bell comes to us from the Edward L. Greenwood Maritime collection and was displayed for years at the Virginia Beach Maritime 
Historical Museum.
