19th Century Stormy Seascape, an oil on board seascape, circa 1880, unsigned. Depicting a schooner on a port tack crossing a sloop, flying an American flag on a starboad tack, both under full sail with overcast skies and turbulent seas. Board measures 18 1/2 X 24 1/4 inches. Old, molded varnished pine frame. Was purchased years ago out of a home in Maine. 
Condition: There are a few surface scratches in the area of the sails. Painted silver/grey on the back side.
