Pair of Matching American Made Carriage Lantern Table Lamps, C. Cowles & Co - New Haven CT

A fine pair of late 19th century carriage lamps converted years ago into table lamps. These exceptional lanterns were created by the maker C. Cowles & Co - New Haven CT, as faintly stamped on the inside of the lantern light. These carriage lanterns are made of brass and steel with silvered interior and squared beveled glass windows. A rare feature with each lantern fitted with a pair of emerald green stained glass and one clear glass pane that we only know of one other pair. Mounted on to square wood bases. Newly re-wired and ready for use. Stands 31 1/2 inches tall to the top of the shade (as shown). Wood base measures 6 1/2 X 6 1/2 inches. 

The lamp lighting choices toggle between the interior carriage light and the lamp light via the upper light switch. You can select either/ or both lights together depending on your lighting needs and desirability.
