Authentic house flag from an unidentified shipping company. The flag is made of linen with a navy blue surface, white diamond in center and the letter W also in navy blue. The flag survives in original condition with only a minor amount of discoloration inside the white diamond. This flag is from the 1930's or 40's and has never been flown. Measures 42 X 70 inches.
According to a customer that recently wrote us, he identified the house flag as from the Waterman Steamship Corporation, registered in the USA.
This came to us as part of a group of international code flags from World War II and as early as "F" flag from the Navy Yard, New York dated June 1917!
