A small half hull model of an unidentified ship made of yellow pine by a worker at the Norfolk Navy Yard and mounted on to a mahogany wood panel that was removed from the officer’s country of the U.S.S. Hartford (Built in Boston, Mass. November 22nd, 1851 in service until 1859.) The vessel was dismantled in Norfolk, Virginia, 1961-62. The panel measures 5 inches X 17 inches. History of the U.S.S. Hartford is attached to the back.
