Authentic, American manufactured early 20th century galvanized metal anchor lantern that we've re-purposed into functional nautical table lamp. A wonderful old seafaring marine lantern that survives with lots of nautical appeal. Thick 360 degrees glass Fresnel lens intensifies the distance of the light similar to a lighthouse lens. Originally a kerosene burning lantern, this old fixture is now electrified. Retains an old black painted surface. The glass fresnel lens is in perfect condition. Lantern opens at the bottom through a hinged cover to access the lamp interior.
The lamp lighting choices toggle between the interior light and the lamp light via the upper light switch. You can use either the upper room light, the interior lantern light or both as desired. Measures 21 inches tall to the top of the shade (as shown) and 5 1/2 inch diameter at base. A great old nautical fixture with lots of maritime charm, re-purposed for today’s nautical home.
Lamp shades are sold separately. See our current selection in our related items below.
Shown here with a 14 inch burlap-covered lamp shade.
