Heavy old cast brass nautical Galleon ship door knocker with ornate shell backplate. We have lightly cleaned and hand waxed the door knocker to a soft polished patina. Two screw holes on back plate for through the door mounting. Comes with new 2 inch long brass mounting screws. Measures 6 1/2 inches tall X 3 1/4 inches wide. Ready to be displayed on your exterior door!  Weighs 1 1/2 pounds.

While researching, we could find another example of this particular door knocker with the shell backplate. The knocker has a makers stamp on the back, but we do not know who made tthis item.
