A Replica RMS TITANIC glass ribbon Commemorative plate- White Star Line

A 1940's milk glass ribbon plate after the originals from the first years of the 20th Century. It is decorated with an image of 'RMS TITANIC'. According to our research, the originals were made to be sold as souvenirs aboard the RMS TITANIC and other ships of the White Star Line including her sistership the 'RMS OLYMPIC'. The commemorative plate with woven forget-me-not border in milk glass with painted gold highlights. Plate survives in great condition with no damage at all and retains a blue ribbon intertwined through the center of the outer latticework. The paint of the image has flaked over time, mainly along the outer edge of the sky and a few spots in the center of the plate. The backside of the plate is stamped with an intertwined 'W and G' (Westmoreland Glass Company).

Dimensions; outer dimensions: 8 3/8 inches in diameter; image 4 5/8 inches in diameter (about an inch larger than the original plates).
