A Fine Pair of American Sheraton Cherry and Mahogany Dining Banquet Table

A fine pair of early 19th century American Sheraton banqueting tables. Made of solid cherry (top and legs) with flame grain mahogany veneered skirts. Demilune form with gate for large drop leaf that swings out via a hand carved wooden hinged leg. The tables are supported by graceful and elegantly turned legs with vase and ring turning, ending in flatened ball above arrow feet. These "D" end tables can also be configured as a pair of dropleaf console tables or game tables. this table stands on rounded turned wood legs and features a rectangular table top with rounded corners. Retains a pleasing satiny finish in good condition.

Measurements when in wall console position; width: 41 inches, depth: 22 inches, Height: 29 1/2 inches. With the dropleaf raised as game tables, 41 inches X 42 inches and 21 inches closed. Each leaf measures 22 inches. Joined together with one leaf; width: 41 inches, length: 62 inches. As a fully extended dining table, length: 82 inches (6'10").
